Iconic French luxury handbag and trunk makers, Moynat was founded in 1849 by Octavie and Francois Coulembier who were soon joined in the venture by Pauline Moynat, the only known female luggage maker of the time. The brand quickly gained recognition as the official trunk supplier to the Comedie Francaise, and eventually to the legendary French Comedienne Gabrielle Rejan. Moynat's first handbag was named in her honour; 'The Rejane'. In 2014, Moynat was relaunched, with its collections of iconic totes crafted in luxurious exotic skins, with the 'The Rejane' being reissued.
