Everyday care will go a long way in maintaining your wool knitwear, and we recommend checking the instructions on each individual care label. The first step in taking proper care of wool garments is to always turn inside out before washing, which will help slow down any pilling or wear of the fabric. If your wool item is structured, such as a blazer, suit, or coat, then we recommend to spot clean. For wool that is suitable for washing, use a pH neutral detergent and select a gentle cycle on the machine with a temperature of 30°C or less to mimic the actions of traditional hand washing. Soak for up to half an hour, rinse well and press out any water without wringing. If you want to use the machine, make sure the item is turned inside out first, place in a mesh laundry bag and ensure a low-spin, cold-water cycle is selected. It is recommended to lay wool items flat to air dry instead of using the tumble dryer. If pilling occurs after wearing, carefully remove with a fabric comb.
