Lemlem is the socially conscious footwear and accessories label created by Ethiopian supermodel Liya Kebede. Having discovered a decline in demand for traditional weaving in her natïve country, Liya Kebede set up Lemlem with the aim to raise awareness of the traditional technique and to create employment opportunities for the local people. The Lemlem line of flats features hand-spun cotton espadrilles and smoking slippers, created in collaboration with footwear Soludos, available in a range of eye-catching prints.
