This week’s palette delicately balances the warmth and coolness seen across fall fashion trends.
With neutrals, texture plays a key role in transforming simple creams and beiges into intriguing style statements. Searches for Fear of God’s suede shell bag increased by 28% in September, with the bone color generating the most purchase intents. Sheepskin-like shearling pieces gain momentum every year around these cooling months, and this year, they increased by 146% quarter-on-quarter in consumer demand. Boden’s gilet has generated an 181% week-on-week increase in engagement, proving itself as a go-to option for layering. Effortlessly adding structure, blazers also offer depth and dimension to an outfit, with The Frankie Shop’s taupe Gelso blazer growing in demand by 29% in October.
Meanwhile, cream and beige knitwear creates a versatile and timeless foundation for any outfit. Demand for &Daughter’s sand-colored turtleneck spiked last week, up 563% from the week prior, while Cos’s viral cashmere sweater was our most interacted with knitwear piece across both mens and womens. In menswear, searches for brown loafers are up 9% year-on-year in 2024, peaking on Lyst in the first two weeks of October.

As the newest neutral, burgundy adds a level of sophistication to any outfit. With the red hue trending across a variety of brands and categories, Jimmy Choo’s Cinch M stands out amongst the crowd, up 746% month-on-month in product engagement.
A long-standing staple, gray jackets have been trending across Lyst, up 29% year-on-year in September. Brunello Cucinelli is leading the charge in the menswear department, up 60% month-on-month in demand, while ethical brand Quince is our quickest mover in womenswear, with searches increasing 90% last week.
Denim is having a particularly prominent year on Lyst. Due to cowboycore influences seen at the likes of Ganni and Louis Vuitton, as well as a ‘90s revival, 2024 has seen a resurgence in the Candian tuxedo and vintage-inspired cuts. With consumers embracing multifunctional and long-lasting aesthetics, jeans such as Mother’s The Hustler Roller Sneak — the quickest-moving denim item on Lyst last week — have proven themselves worth the splurge.
