Timberland boots: After Kamala Harris wore Timberland boots last Wednesday, searches for the iconic shoes increased 376% week-on-week. Meanwhile, demand for the brand increased by 25% compared to the week before.
Shapewear: Global demand for shapewear has been increasingly up since May; searches for the category are growing 22% month-on-month. Following the launch of SKIM’s maternity range, searches for shapewear spiked 59% compared to the previous week whilst searches including the term “maternity” went up 233%. Looking at the category as a whole, demand has increased by 36% year-on-year.
Matching co-ords: Interest for matching sets is rising quickly again with searches increasing 80% since the beginning of September. The most commonly used search terms alongside “matching” are “loungewear set”, “pyjama set” and “sweat set”, which have all collectively increased by 122% month-on-month. Knitted co-ord sets are also having a moment with “knit shorts set” in particular growing 32% week-on-week.
White boots: Global searches for white boots went up 14% since the beginning of the month. Whilst “leather” is the most popular search term, page views for white rain boots are rising: they’re currently up 11% month-on-month. Most wanted pieces include Dr. Marten’s Jadon boots, Maison Margiela’s Tabi boots, Chloe’s Betty rubber rain boots, Isabel Marant’s Duerto boots and By Far’s Sofia leather ankle boots.
