Since Monday, demand for “balloon sleeves” is up 40% with tops and dresses being the most searched for styles. Moreover, searches for leather pieces rose 31% with this Ganni button down mini dress being the top viewed product over the past days. Demand for “oversized collar” tops and dresses is also growing fast: up 46% collectively month-on-month.
Animal print: The newly released song of Cardi B ft. Megan Thee Stallion has got people searching. Pageviews of animal print pieces doubled over the weekend while leopard, tiger and snake print searches have collectively surged 201% week-on-week. In particular, “leopard print bodysuit” is the most popular style among shoppers.
David Beckham’s swim shorts:Searches for Versace swim shorts spiked 107% on Sunday after the former professional footballer was seen wearing a pair on the beach in Greece. Furthermore, the terms ‘printed’ and ‘baroque’ saw significant increases, up 39% collectively.
Butterfly print: Around the world, people view the butterfly as a representation of endurance, change, hope, and life. It isn’t surprising therefore that searches that include the word ‘butterfly’ have more than tripled over the last two months, with people searching for necklaces and tops in particular.
Crochet: Searches for crochet clothing are growing – they’re up 85% since July. While demand for crochet bikini tops has remained high throughout summer, interest in crochet dresses and shorts is also rising, increasing 26% and 20% week-on-week respectively. Most searched-for brands over the past 14 days are Anna Kosturova,Missoni and ASOS.
