Flip-flops: Flip-flops are growing in popularity once again, searches for the style increased 53% since June. Whilst Havaianas remains the most wanted brand, with demand rising a huge 89% month-on-month, other popular brands are Crocs, Nike and Superdry. The term “leather flip flops” is also trending in searches lately, up 12% week-on-week.
Floral face masks: Following Kate Middleton’s appearance wearing a floral face mask on Tuesday, searches for the style surged 185% in less than 24hrs in the UK. Most commonly used search terms alongside face masks the following day were ‘floral”, “liberty print” as well as “ditsy print”.
Matching sets: Interest for matching sets is rising with demand being currently up 13% month-on-month. Over the past month, searches including the terms “tie dye”, “pyjama” and “silk” have risen collectively 37%. Looking at menswear, silk shirts have been particularly popular lately, with searches going up 9% month-on-month.
Comfy clothes: Terms such as “oversized” and “loose-fitting’ are more widely used in searches lately with demand for wide-leg trousers as well as slouchy tailored trousers up collectively 43% this month. Meanwhile, linen blazers, as well as linen shorts, are also popular amongst shoppers with searches going up 15% and 30% month-on-month respectively.
