While designers tried their hands at sweater sets during the 1920s, the first true twinset is credited to Otto Weisz of Pringle of Scotland, who was inspired by the sweaters he saw worn on the golf course. In the '50s and '60s, the twinset became a staple of women's work closets, most notably secretarial work or teaching (women's career choices were still fairly limited). Its popularity continued to grow outside the office too thanks to Hollywood starlets who were frequently photographed sporting the style on and off set. Equal parts sweet and sophisticated, it remains a classic to this day. We've been designing our customer-favorite Jackie cardigan since 2004, and it's still going strong. This version has been updated with classic buttons and is crafted in easy cotton with plenty of fun colors to choose from. We suggest keeping one on the back of your desk chair or in your bag at all times. Fitted. Body length: 22". Sleeve length: 29 1/2". Hits at hip. Model is 5'11 wearing a size small. Cotton/nylon/elastane. Rib trim at neck, cuffs and hem. Machine wash.
