DKNY Store
American born designer Donna Karan launched her label in 1984. She set out to make clothes that she herself would want to wear, therefore building the collection around ‘Seven Easy Pieces’. These simple separates could easily be mixed and matched to create a cohesive closet. She became famous for her jersey basics, bodysuits and easy-to-wear monochromatic palette. Taking inspiration from her daughter Gabby, the designer launched the diffusion line DKNY in 1989. Donna Karan was one of the first designers to create the trend for off-shoot lines, calling them 'pizza to collection's caviar'. She has now stepped down from the Donna Karan brand to focus on a new label of timeless basics.
