Diesel
Founded in 1978 by Renze Rosso and Adriano Goldschmied, the brand blossomed after 1985 when Rosso took full control. Since then, the label has grown into a cult megabrand, encompassing womenswear, menswear, children’s clothing and fragrance. Now under the creative control of Wilbert Das, the core of the Diesel world remains it’s jeans wear aesthetic, with a tough, street-smart identity that focuses on youth culture as well as high-glamour. Diesel Black Gold was also launched in Spring 2008 as Diesel’s premier brand, and has since established itself as a fashion-forward extension of the design behemoth - that is, distressed leathers and rock n roll structures, all without forgetting the quality denim roots at the brand’s core.▼
