Stella Mccartney's lingerie looks and feels luxurious, but is designed to be worn every day. Expect everything from full-coverage briefs and thongs with seams that lay flat against the skin, to soft-cup bras with adjustable shoulder straps and styles with a flexible underband for additional support.
Each piece is crafted from premium materials like silk, lace and cotton, and created with everybody’s shape in mind. Wear yours with the matching styles to complete a coordinated set.
As cotton can often be prone to shrinking when it is washed and dried, it is recommended to check the individual care label for each piece and follow the instructions carefully. Generally, cotton should be hand or machine washed at 30°C or below. This will help avoid color fading and dye transfer. Gently stretch cotton to restore the original shape and air dry naturally.
Lace is a delicate and elegant fabric, which often requires special care to keep it looking its best for years to come. If your lace becomes stained, it will need to be cleaned quickly as stains can stick to the lace fibers permanently if left untreated for too long. Handwashing is generally considered the safest way to treat lace, and it is recommended to submerge in a warm water and mild detergent mix. Let the lace soak for roughly 30 minutes, before rinsing with water to wash away any remaining soap. Rinse well, and press out excess water. Never wring or twist lace fabric. Lay flat and allow to dry naturally, before folding and storing in a drawer. If you really need to clean lace in the washing machine, always place lace within a cotton wash bag and use a gentle and cool wash cycle.
Silk is a beautifully luxurious fabric, and often requires special care to keep it looking its best. Due to its very delicate nature, we advise carefully following the care instructions on each individual silk product. Some silk is ‘Dry Clean Only’, while other items may have ‘Dry Clean’ as the recommended cleaning method, but other methods may be used. If your silk is suitable for hand washing, use lukewarm water and a specific, mild detergent to help protect the silk’s natural properties. Turn the item inside out, and soak for up to 30 minutes, then rinse with cool water to remove any remaining soap. Avoid putting in the tumble dryer and instead lay flat to dry naturally. If the care label advises machine washing, then ensure a gentle, cold-water cycle is chosen. If the care label on your silk item says that it can be ironed, then use a low iron setting and ideally iron while it is still slightly damp.
