The Most Wanted Men’s Pyrenex Jackets

  • Pyrenex Down and Padded Jackets

Pyrenex is best known for their ability to design mountaineer-worthy outerwear. It comes to no surprise that the brand’s down and padded jackets made the top of their most sought after styles. Highlights of each style vary, but some of the features you can look for in Pyrenex down and padded jackets are removable and adjustable hoods, knitted rib cuffs to ensure warmth, water repellent fabric treatments that include being windproof and waterproof, breathable fabrications, and zipper pockets to keep your essentials safe and your hands warm.

  • Pyrenex Casual Jackets

High-end quality while simultaneously staying under the radar in a premium, Pyrenex casual jackets are on point with the current culture of understated style. The puffy jacket assortment is equipped with water resistant technology, zip pockets, and extra padding with feather down to protect you from the cold weather.

  • Pyrenex Mythic Down Jacket

The cozy, padded down structure of the Pyrenex Mythic Down Jacket makes this a top style. Inspired by a vintage edition from the 1970’s but given a modern twist, this jacket can hold its own when worn by itself. You’ll find it in a shiny tangerine, bold blue print, crocus purple, and muted, neutral matte colors.

Men’s Pyrenex Sizing Guide

Unsure of your size? Pyrenex jackets run true to US standard sizing, so we recommend purchasing your typical size. Look for the jacket description on the retailer’s site to see what kind of fit to expect so you will know how the jacket should be when you receive it (i.e. if it is a slim fit or regular.) Below are two size charts for further reference.

How To Care For Your Pyrenex Jacket

To make sure your coat lasts a long lifespan, it’s important to properly care for it. Be sure to check the care label on your jacket before washing it for the first time in case your particular jacket has special instructions.

We highly recommend leaving the cleaning to the professionals by bringing your Pyrenex jacket to your local dry cleaner.

If you prefer to wash it yourself, remove any fur attachment on the coat if the coat has the capability. Machine wash on cold. Next, place the coat in the dryer and tumble dry on low with 2 dryer balls (tennis balls work!) for 4 hours minimum. Once the jacket is dry, pat the coat down to separate the feathers and down so there are no lumpy areas on the jacket.

If a small portion needs to be cleaned, we recommend using a mild handwash-specific soap to spot clean the area.

Where are Pyrenex coats made?

Pyrenex coats are manufactured in Saint-Sever, France, at their historically renowned factory. Here, each feather-down coat is hand-made impressively to the highest standards. The brand holds the authenticity and special craft to the next level-- so much so that their factory is referenced across the industry as one of the most high-end, specialized factories in the world for creating luxury bedding and unsurpassed feather and down.

Where does Pyrenex source their goose and duck feathers?

Pyrenex partners exclusively with the best regarded goose and duck farms in France. These partners are located within the regions of Aquitaine, Pyrenees and Poitou. Because they are locally partnered, there is a closer connection and ability to be able to maintain France’s high standards keeping track of animal dignity to make sure the practices are humane, and monitoring the sustainability of the process.

Will my puffer jacket lose its “puff” over time?

If your jacket starts to lose its original “puff,” we recommend placing it in the dryer on a low heat setting with 2 dryer balls (or tennis balls.) When you remove your jacket from the dryer cycle, the jacket should have restored “puff.”
