Combining fashion with function, it’s no wonder Columbia's men's boots are so covetable. Available in a wide range of colors and styles, these boots are designed to last. Everything by Columbia will seamlessly integrate into your existing wardrobe. Look here for highly wearable designs that really go the distance. Once you’ve invested in a leather item, preserving the fabric is a must. Leather clothing is an investment, and it pays to care for it properly. We would advise wiping with a soft dry cloth or using a specialist leather cleanser. Apply a leather protection cream in circular motions before its first use. This protective barrier will help prevent marks and scratches, as well as repelling water and stains. Avoid getting the leather wet, and away from prolonged exposure to sunlight and direct heat. The Columbia Boots Sizing Guide

The brand’s boots use US sizing, and you can use the below chart to work out what size you should take. You can see corresponding sizes for the UK and EU, as well as the foot length in inches.

To measure your foot size, wear socks you would typically wear with the shoe you're looking to purchase. For hiking boots, thicker socks may be advisable. Then, measure the length of your foot from the tip of your big toe to the bottom of your heel. Foot width can be measured from the widest part of your feet, which is commonly from the bottom of the biggest toe to the base of the smallest.

How To Care For Your Columbia Boots

Hiking boots require regular cleaning. After all, they're likely to see lots of rain, mud, and debris during your outdoor adventures. When this happens, it's best to clean them immediately after use, to try and avoid them drying dirty.

The most effective way to clean these boots is to immediately rinse them under clean tap water and to wipe them with a soft-bristled brush. If possible, remove the insole inside the shoe and let it dry naturally. Never put your Columbia Boots into the dryer or on top of a heater, and don’t leave them near an open flame or in direct, hot sunlight.

Remove stains with mild dish detergent. Any oil, grease, ink, sap or gum stains can be spot-cleaned with denatured or isopropyl alcohol. Remove stubborn stains with a moistened cotton cloth soaked in a few drops of denatured alcohol.

Occasionally reapply a waterproof finish to coat the shoe. This should protect the material from saturating with water while you're out hiking. A quick water drop test will show whether the boot needs recoating. I.e., if the water no longer beads on the outside of the boot, you'll need to apply another layer of waterproof protection.

Are Columbia boots waterproof?

Many of Columbia’s boots feature waterproof materials. That's as well as full seam-sealed construction. Both features work wonders for preventing moisture seeping into even the most exposed areas of the boot. Columbia boots are all water-resistant and designed to keep your feet warm and dry during your outdoor adventures.

Are Columbia boots suitable for hiking?

Columbia boots are designed to offer hikers stability and long-lasting comfort during those long outdoor adventures. The midsoles are light, and the boot is waterproof and breathable to ensure maximum comfort, no matter the environment. The tread on these boots also boasts Omni-Grip technology to prevent slipping on uneven surfaces.

What are Columbia Boots made out of?

Columbia hiking boots often feature a combination of leather and suede outers. These are usually treated to ensure maximum breathability and waterproofness. The soles are made from rubber. Some ranges also feature breathable synthetic textiles on the exterior, treated with Omni-Tech waterproofing protection.
