Geox was founded in 1995 when Mario Polegato, due to take over the family wine business, turned to fashion instead. The label name is a mux of the Greek word 'geo' meaning earth and the letter 'x' which symbolizes technology. The label's foundations are firmly rooted in experimenting and producing clothing that is waterproof and breathable, with the latest technologies. Geox is comprised of ready-to-wear and footwear but also a line of accessories made with the label's waterproof materials, including a range of colorful wallets.
