Dries Van Noten is known for his grounded glamour and couture/casual mash-ups. Born in 1958 in Belgium, the designer comes from the third generation of a family of tailors. Part of the Antwerp Six that rose to fame in the 80s, his range of ready-to-wear includes coats, jackets, dresses, tops, shirts, pants, skirts and tailoring. Combining utility and functionality with evening and occasionwear-inspired embellishments, lavish jacquards and diaphanous chiffons, he creates directional and modern pieces for the contemporary-cool female.
