Since its inception in 2004 with its super skinny jeans that quickly became cult, Cheap Monday began in Stockholm by founders Örjan Andersson and Adam Friberg. Originally in 2000, the duo founded a weekend-only store, 'Weekend', which stocked second-hand clothing. Due to its popularity, the store expanded its range to include high fashion and premium denim labels in addition to a new team member, Larsse Karlsson. Realising the demand for premium denim without the designer price tag, the first denim style, 'Tight' was introduced under the Cheap Monday label in 2004.
