Antonio Marras was born in Alghero, Sardinia, and created his first collection, Piano Piano Dolce Carlotta, in 1988. A passionate movie addict, Marras took the name from the 60s horror film by Robert Aldrich. In 1996, he made his haute couture debut in Rome, where he showcased the key elements of his style: attention to detail and craftsmanship. Opulent fabrics, sumptuous embroidery and brocades combine with contemporary, decorative design elements, creating a juxtaposition of rich and poor, male and female, decoration and structure, form and function. Antonio Marras coats are statement-making outerwear. From boxy shapes with bold patterns to vintage-inspired capes, each design bravely combines contrasting textures, patterns and colors to create pieces that will set you apart from the crowd.
