Born and bred in Manhattan, Gruss cut her teeth in the fashion industry with a stint working in a lingerie factory getting to grips with fabric sourcing, design and garment construction before launching her own range of beautifully-designed, exquisitely detailed clothes in 1998. The swimwear range followed in 2001 and a mother and child range in 2005, after the birth of her first baby, and the brand has gained a legion of celebrity fans from Taylor Swift to Emma Stone.
