Private White V.c.

After WWI hero Private Jack White was awarded the Victoria Cross medal for exceptional service to the armed forces, he decided to pursue a career in pattern cutting and created a menswear brand that still lives on to this day. With all clothing expertly crafted by hand in the Private White V.c factory in Manchester, each item from the brand is locally sourced from regional factories. Today the brand is designed by Creative Director Nick Ashley, who has previously shown off his design skills at Kenzo, Tod’s and Dunhill. The son of Laura Ashely, he ensures all pieces in the collections honour the tradition and techniques of the original Private Jack White.
