Moroccan born Jean-Charles de Castelbajac is famous for his eccentric, whimsical designs. He launched his namesake line in 1969 and has since become renowned for pushing the boundaries of fashion and art. Castelbajac has often been called a ‘modern traditionalist’ as he creates trend setting collections that remain respectful of classic design features. His fun-loving designs range from humourous slogan t-shirts to dresses made entirely out of lego. Jean-Charles de Castelbajac also created a dress made entirely out of Kermit the Frog toys which was famously worn by Lady Gaga.
Jean-Charles de Castelbajac has since expanded his label into home-wares in which he reworks classic designs with his trademark flair.
