Piola was first established by a group of four friends, Augustin, Josh, Quentin and Antoine. After volunteering in Lima, Peru and falling in love with the country, Antoine set about creating an independent footwear label upon his return that would be work with a Peruvian economic development project. The French brand uses outstanding designers and sources excellent materials like organic cotton from Peru and wild rubber from the Amazon. Proving ethics and style go hand-in-hand, Piola reinvests four euros for every pair of shoes sold back into its projects in Peru.
