Klaus Obermeyer established the Sport Obermeyer brand in 1947 with one simple goal: to help his ski school students stay warm and dry as they hit the slopes. Using his love of the sport and his engineering background, Obermeyer created the world’s first down-filled parka. Today, the brand has retained its sense of innovation, and continues to manufacture advanced performance wear using the latest technology and designs. Remaining family-run and still based in the region of Aspen Mountain, Sport Obermeyer tests its products on some of the best terrain in North America.
