Noir Kei Ninomiya

Rei Kawakubo’s most recent protégé delivers the fifth namesake line for the Comme Des Garçons family with Noir Kei Ninomiya. The label debuting in 2012, Noir Kei Ninomiya sees Ninomiya continue the label’s reputation for the avant-garde with a series of striking and directional designs. Using only black so as not to distract from the construction of each garment, the line experiments with unusual forms of craftsmanship and technique to create its innovative pieces, traditional sewing replaced with metal hardware that staples the clothing together.
