Maui & Sons

Maui & Sons was founded in 1980 by three young surfers who were trying to decide what to do with the rest of their lives. Originally deciding to start a cookie company named Maui’s Chocolate Chip Cookies, they soon turned to designing fashions for surfing and active sports. The original cookie venture became an inspiration for the Maui & Sons logo.

While the company has expanded worldwide, the unique Maui & Sons style and illustration approach continues. Sharkman, the character created in the early days of Maui & Sons, is as popular as ever and is still printed onto vests, shorts and t-shirts.
