Joan Vass

Drawing upon her education in philosophy and aesthetics, Joan Vass set out to work initially in the art world and it was during her role as an assistant curator of drawing and prints at the Museum of Modern Art that Joan developed an interest in hand knits and crochets. Her first collection was a neat selection of hats and mufflers that were snapped up instantly. Founding her eponymous label in 1977, the range now covers separates, dresses and accessories. Timeless in shape, the palette is predominantly neutral with pops with color in more vibrant collections.
