Jitrois

Jean-Claude Jitrois is most noted for luxury, ready-to-wear leather garments and for pioneering the stretch-leather look of the mid-1990s. As a boy, Jitrois was fascinated by his father’s old leather aviator jacket, which he was forbidden to touch. Ever since, the designer has seen leather as a fabric to be revered. Jitrois single-handedly transformed the public perception of leather from being masculine and rough to sensual and sultry, thanks to his beautifully feminine designs.

Leather is Jitrois’ first love, but the designer also creates garments using soft suede. Having dressed the likes of Elton John and Cher, Jitrois has become a firm favorite in the world of on-screen and on-stage celebrity as well as a world leader in leather fashion.
