Georg Jensen

Born in 1866, Georg Jensen was the son of a knife grinder and began his training at the age of 14. Risking what small capital he had in 1904, Jensen opened a small shop in Copenhagen which paved the way for what would soon become a hugely successful brand. Having successfully revived the tradition of the artist craftsman, he was quickly recognized for exquisite Art Nouveau creations.
