Shades of pink: Global searches for pink blazers spiked 170% this week, thanks to Kamala Harris and Jill Biden. During the weekend, “hot pink”, “pink” and “tweed” became the most commonly used search terms for this product category. Similarly, neon pink midi dresses are also trending amongst shoppers – searches are up 63% compared to a week before – likely inspired by the pink Roksanda dress Carrie Johnson wore over the weekend.

Rodeo glam: Dua Lipa has sent rodeo-inspired fashion riding through town. The western-inspired looks in her most recent music video “Love Again” have gotten fashion lovers searching for similar pieces. Searches for The Attico’s zebra-print bikini, which was recently also worn by Hailey Bieber, have increased 224% so far in June, while zebra pieces, in general, are up 15%. Other rodeo-inspired pieces, such as cowboy hats, bolo ties and cowboy boots are also trending.

Coconut girl summer: Looking at the past month, we noticed an increase in searches for tops and shirts including the terms “hibiscus”, “seashell” and “starfish”. In more detail, searches for tropical-print shirts went up 37% whilst searches for hibiscus-print tops jumped 22% month-on-month. Fashion shoppers are also looking at mini skirts with searches for the category rising 17% month-on-month. Meanwhile, Lorde’s Collina Strada outfit which is featured in her latest song “Solar Power” is now sold out, as searches for the brand’s yellow pieces jumped 41% week-on-week.

Cosmic girls: A new wave of intergalactic fashion is taking off. Recently worn by Kim Kardashian and Doja Cat, metallic corsets are having a moment; searches for the style are up 40% week-on-week. Jean Paul Gaultier bustier tops, in particular, are high in demand with page views increasing 11% in the days after Doja Cat revealed her celestial new album cover shoot. Following Cardi B’s recent Instagram post wearing a futuristic Marine Serre set, searches for the designer’s Moonfish top and leggings spiked 201%.

Hair clips: With celebrity fans including Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande and Millie Bobby Brown, searches for retro hair clips and barrettes have been growing since the start of the year and they are currently up 15%. With fashion lovers getting inspired by tortoise, crystal and pearl hair clips, Alexandre de Paris, Simone Rocha, Gucci, Versace and Ferragamo are rising amongst the most sought-after brands.
