Sun, stripes and sun: As the summer season is in full force, nautical fashion is thriving on Lyst. Searches including the terms “nautical”, “sailor” and “fisherman” are up 66% since the start of the year. Classic Breton shirts are particularly popular at the moment, causing a 41% jump in searches month-on-month, whilst Armor Lux and Jean Paul Gaultier are rising as the most sought-after brands for the trend. The Jean Paul Gaultier reboot has put the designer’s signature sailor look back into fashion lovers’ radar, with searches for the brand’s sailor pieces growing 52% over the last month.
Cutwork: Compared to the same time last year, searches for cutwork pieces have increased by 282% since the beginning of June, with dresses (+284%), tops (+305%), and skirts (+73%) the most wanted categories. Trending pieces amongst shoppers’ wishlists include &Other Stories’ Anglaise blouse, Sandro’s Shera mini shirt dress and Zimmermann’s empire broderie midi dress.
Bold printed shirts: Since the start of the month, bold printed men’s shirts have been trending with searches for the style increasing 58%. Vintage prints are also rising in popularity with page views for “psychedelic” patterns and “polka dots” increasing 274% and 137% respectively. Meanwhile, the recent Supreme x Pucci collaboration has sent searches for the designer’s shirts soaring 298% over the past month.
Breezy silhouettes: Fendi’s creative director Silvia Venturini introduced a new workwear silhouette during the brand’s men’s spring 2022 show. Since then, searches on Lyst for short tailored shorts have increased 17% while page views for cropped suit jackets have spiked 29%. Meanwhile, pastel suits are also high in demand with page views increasing 18% over the past couple days.
Tops with a twist: Twisted halter neck tops, such as STAUD’s Kai top, have gotten shoppers searching. In the past two weeks, searches on Lyst for similar pieces have increased by 24%. Similarly, demand for “wrap” and “scarf” tops has also been rising rapidly, with &Other Stories, Ganni, Free People and Monki amongst the most-wanted brands.
