Denim: Demand for jeans and denim pieces has grown since the start of January (+23%), with women on average purchasing twice the number of jeans to men. We saw an additional 10% increase in searches this week whilst these Weekday skew high crossover jeans remain the most viewed style over the past 14 days. Pageviews for denim shackets and overshirts have also risen collectively 40% since January. Popular jeans styles currently trending in searches are slouchy, wide-leg, ripped as well as patched pieces.

Hermès Bags: Although bags as a category saw less demand over the past year, interest for classic investment pieces such as Hermés bags has spiked lately. In January searches for pre-owned Hermés on Lyst were up 430% compared to the equivalent period a year earlier with pre-owned Birkin, Kelly and Constance bags being the most-searched-for pieces.

Comfy lingerie: With Valentine’s Day rapidly approaching, we have seen a significant jump in searches for comfortable lingerie pieces, such as soft bras and high-waisted panties. Since the start of February, searches for lingerie sets increased 31% whilst searches for bras including the terms “silk” and “wireless” rose 56% collectively. Although demand for push-up bras isn’t the same as the same season last year, we’ve seen a jump in searches for “soft push up bras”; they’re up 53% month-on-month. High-waisted lace underwear has also seen a 27% rise in searches, with Fleur Du Mal, Wolford and La Perla being the most sought-after brands.

Skiwear: With a snowstorm hitting both the US and UK, global searches for snow boots spiked 47% week-on-week. Most sought after brands for snow boots include Moon Boot, Ugg, Bogner and & Other Stories. Meanwhile, page views for puffer jackets increased 23% week-on-week, with The North Face’s Nuptse 1996 jacket and Moncler’s Maya jacket being the most popular pieces.

Following The Weeknd’s Super Bowl halftime show performance on Sunday night, we saw a significant increase in demand for pieces inspired by his custom Givenchy outfit. In less than 24hrs, searches for “embroidered”, “sequin” and “crystal-embellished” blazers spiked 41% while page views for men’s red jackets increased 19%. Shoppers have also been looking for creepers; page views spiked 82% with Burberry’s White Platform Creepers and Valentino’s Studded Creepers driving most searches. Meanwhile, we saw a 40% increase in searches for Givenchy’s formal styles (including suits, blazers and formal shirts).
Ahead of Super Bowl LV, football stars showcased their game day style. Tom Brady’s beige Tom Ford jacket caused a 20% increase in searches for the designer’s bomber jackets. Meanwhile, page views for Gucci backpacks spiked 28% after quarterback Patrick Mahomes was spotted wearing one.

Women’s Fashion
Following Amanda Gorman’s Super Bowl appearance wearing a Moschino coat, searches for the brand’s coats spiked 94% within 24hrs meanwhile demand for blue coats, in general, rose 10%. Thanks to her, demand for headbands as a category has seen a 40% increase, month-on-month. Searches for Gucci t-shirts went up 10% in the 48hrs after Miley Cyrus headlined the Super Bowl TikTok Tailgate pregame event. At the same time, J.Lo outfit also influenced a 10% increase in searches for “houndstooth” prints while the Louis Vuitton sporty top and trousers she wore caused a 24% increase in queries about the brand’s pieces and a 22% increase for crop tops within 24hrs.
