In the 70’s Dorino’s son Diego Della Valle expanded the brand by increasing workshop space and turning it into a factory so that they would have the ability to manufacture shoes to American department stores. It was when Della Valle launched the company’s signature shoe of a luxury moccasin, ‘Gommino’ that the Tod’s brand really gained notoriety. The pebble soled moccasin was an instant hit, with its unique chic take on casual footware being unlike anything else on the market.
Tod’s has since expanded the label into a hugely successful range of handbags and now sells in some 150 stores worldwide.
