The brand became known for its playful, tongue-in-cheek designs featuring witty, irreverent slogans such as ‘Waist of money’ and ‘Good Taste Doesn’t Exist’. After Franco Moschino’s untimely death in 1994, his long term assistant Rossella Jardini took over as creative director. Jardini has taken the Moschino philosophy of parody and stereotype, and made it her own by making it more wearable and refined.
In recent years Rossella Jardini has expanded the Moschino brand into Moschino Cheap & Chic, a more youthful collection as well as the Love Moschino denim line. Recent Moschino collections have been exuberant affairs, featuring over sized accessories and bold prints all with impeccable tailoring.
