Kenzo

The Kenzo label was birthed from Japanese fashion designer Kenzo Takada. The designer graduated from Tokoyo’s Bunka Fashion College and settled in Paris in 1964. He found success in 1970 with a small boutique in Paris selling women’s apparel, which quickly expanded. He debuted his first men’s ready-to-wear collection in 1983 and kids and home collections in 1987. His style is a perfect east meets west transfusion ripe with designs, colors and patterns. He announced retirement in 2011 and appointed the founders of Opening Ceremony as the creative directors for Kenzo. Today the brand’s DNA remains intact as it continues to put the trendy modern twists on the Oriental-European inspired amalgamate.
