From one small loft in New York City to instant name recognition in over 800 stores worldwide, Coach has certainly come a long way since its founding in 1941 during the World War II era. The company began hand crafting leather wallets for men, but found its calling in 1961 when designer Bonnie Cashin hopped on to create handbags for women, changing the brand’s recognition forever. The near over night success of Cashin’s vibrant ingenuity propelled Coach into a whole new territory. The company eventually followed accessory lines with outerwear and footwear, but never strays from its qualitative, stylish and durable attributes.
