The Buttero brand was founded in 1974 by Italian Mauro Sani. Setting out to make the very best riding boots in the world, Sani created Buttero and the brand has remained within the Sani family in Tuscany, expanding into a footwear brand with an extensive range of mens' and womens' footwear. Using local vegetable-tanned leather, the Buttero brand craft boots the traditional Italian way, handmade by craftsmen.
