There's a premium quality and modern influence to all of Boohoo Designer's designs, including its range of skirts. From styles that fall to a tiered maxi length, to designs that are cut for a close fit with a high-rise waist to emphasize your narrowest point, expect the label’s skirts to create a naturally modern and flattering look.
Each piece is crafted to the highest standard from premium materials: think light, woven cottons, fluid silks in muted hues and soft wool. You’ll find most of the label’s skirts are so versatile – they can be worn with a sweater and knee boots, or a camisole and sandals.
Cotton is one of the most popular fabrics, and there are many different types of cotton fabric. We suggest checking the care instructions for the specific item before washing. Generally, cotton should be hand or machine washed at 30°C or below. This will help avoid color fading and dye transfer. Allow to air dry naturally, and give garments a gentle stretch to restore shapes as soon as they come out of the wash.
To help keep your silk items soft and in excellent condition for years to come, it is recommended to follow the instructions on each item’s care label. Some silk is ‘Dry Clean Only’, while other items may have ‘Dry Clean’ as the recommended cleaning method, but other methods may be used. It is advised to clean silk using a lower temperature to other fabrics, as hot water can affect the material’s natural properties and damage to the fibers. We also recommend selecting a specially-formulated silk detergent, which will be gentler on its natural proteins. Turn the item inside out, and soak for up to 30 minutes, then rinse with cool water to remove any remaining soap. Silk should not be tumble dried, and instead can be laid flat to dry naturally. If you must wash in the machine, select a gentle, cold-water cycle, place in a laundry bag for additional protection and promptly remove from the washer to reduce any wrinkles. If the care label on your silk item says that it can be ironed, then use a low iron setting and ideally iron while it is still slightly damp.
Wool is a soft, natural fiber that can be prone to shrinking if not cared for properly. To keep your wool garment looking its original best, we recommend checking the instructions on each individual care label. If your wool item is structured, such as a blazer, suit, or coat, then we recommend to spot clean. Otherwise, most wool can be either hand washed, or washed in the machine on a gentle cycle of 30°C or less, using a mild PH neutral detergent and turned inside out first. To minimize the risk of shrinkage, it is advised to soak in cold water before you put in the machine. Dry wool knitwear flat and away from direct heat or sunlight. Ensure wool garments are clean before storing folded in a cool, dark place.
