Updated to keep you feeling more stable and secure than ever, the Nike® Metcon 4 features an updated upper design with zonal haptic print so you have increased durability and stability in all the right places. Flywire cables are used to provide an enhanced lock-down fit, while mesh in the upper allows for breathability so you stay cool when the grind heats up. For needed traction on rope climbs and handstand pushups, the Metcon 4 is made with a heel clip that rolls up the sides and with sticky rubber at the forefoot. Updated upper features haptic print for increased stability and durability. Flywire technology creates a secure lockdown fit on lateral moves. Drop-in midsole design provides a stable fit and feeling. Mesh on heel and ankle help keep the fit breathable and light. Low-profile heel clip rolls up the lateral and medial sides to minimize drag. Midsole offset creates a stable platform ideal for weightlifting. Sticky rubber at the forefoot offers incredible traction on sled pushes. Tri-star pattern makes sure you have needed multi-directional traction. Rubber wraps from the outsole through the midfoot to protect during rope climbs. Midsole drop: 4mm. I was a little skeptical about the Metcon because of a few reviews I'd read about the quality, but I have had no such issue yet. I train hard in my shoes and was looking for something with less drop, and these fit the bill. The tack on the bottom of the shoe is unbeatable, and I really like that there's no shank. They're lightweight, comfortable, and I like the designs. That's all I buy are Nike shoes. These are terrible. They squeak when you walk. Uncomfortable. And the glue that holds the sole on is failing where the shoe bends when I walk. It's the most I've ever paid for Nike shoes and it was my biggest mistake. Only have had the shoes since mid April. Kid loves them! He uses them from start to finish for everything. I appreciate the wear he gets out of them and he likes the comfort. I ordered a 15 because that is what I wear in running shoes, but when these came in they were at least a half size too big. I am returning for a 14 because I think they will fit perfect at that point. Will update review after workouts in the books. Pretty bummed, I've had to return this shoe twice. The first one after three months due to a rip on the side. The second after less then a month due to the sole separating from the upper. Not sure what's going on with the quality of this shoe? Love the Metcons, but I'm being forced to go with another shoe at this point. Bought them a few weeks ago and am in love with the comfort and support while lifting or just walking around. The shoe fits so well I forget I am evening wearing them. Color: gray
