Updated to keep you feeling more stable and secure than ever, the Nike® Metcon 4 features an updated upper design with zonal haptic print so you have increased durability and stability in all the right places. Flywire cables are used to provide an enhanced lock-down fit, while mesh in the upper allows for breathability so you stay cool when the grind heats up. For needed traction on rope climbs and handstand pushups, the Metcon 4 is made with a heel clip that rolls up the sides and with sticky rubber at the forefoot. Updated upper features haptic print for increased stability and durability. Flywire technology creates a secure lockdown fit on lateral moves. Drop-in midsole design provides a stable fit and feeling. Mesh on heel and ankle help keep the fit breathable and light. Low-profile heel clip rolls up the lateral and medial sides to minimize drag. Midsole offset creates a stable platform ideal for weightlifting. Sticky rubber at the forefoot offers incredible traction on sled pushes. Tri-star pattern makes sure you have needed multi-directional traction. Rubber wraps from the outsole through the midfoot to protect during rope climbs. Midsole drop: 4mm. I do a lot of HIIT and water rowing combo group classes with everything from mountain-climbers, jumping jacks, squats, weights, lunges, you name it, and this shoe has been the best support all around that I could ask for. I had tried some Nike Running shoes and felt like the outside of my toe area and bridge wasn't as supportive, plus they slipped all the time. These shoes have great traction and grip really well for all the different types of workouts I do each day. I was skeptical on this hyped up training shoe but I am impressed. Worth the hype. Grips, flexes, stable. The shoes are very supportive while lifting and performing other exercises and surprisingly comfortable when running. I don't run long distances, but for short distances they are good. I've really enjoyed these shoes. Great for cross training with excellent support for lateral movement and great heel lockdown feel. Only negative is that they run a tad big and really stretch after wear. I normally wear a 10 M and went with 9.5 M and they fit snugly. Bought it a month ago and will recommend to anybody. The Metcons are great for weightlifting. The white with black white bottom are a nice combo. I usually buy Nike Free's that feel light as feathers on your feet and are as soft as stepping on a pillow. I thought I would try these cross-trainers instead of the usual running shoes. They are stiff and hard on your feet. I had hoped they just needed to break-in, but they never did and still are very stiff. These shoes for the price have turned out to be a real disappointment. Not comfortable and the white is already turning yellow after only one wear. After paying $120 for a pair of shoes I expected more. Color: gray
