Quincy Davis Partners With Koio On Beach-Ready Sneakers

You’ve perfected beachy waves and your bikini collection is full to bursting, but let’s be honest, you can’t perfect the surfer look without a pair of sneakers. Thankfully, luxury footwear label Koio has teamed up with professional surfer Quincy Davis on a limited-edition pair of sneakers that will have you wanting to hit the beach in no time.

Released yesterday, March 22, the exclusive sneaker comes in light-washed denim – reflecting Davis’ love for the ocean – with blush-pink laces, a rose-gold outsole and eyelets, and a bird print on the insole. Priced at $248, the sneaker is available now online and in Koio stores.

The Koio x Quincy Davis sneaker is heavily inspired by the Montauk-based surfer’s personal style and active lifestyle. “I wear sneakers every day and have always considered myself a bit of a tomboy. I really wanted the design of the shoe to reflect my personality and my journey – highlighting how it’s possible for women to be strong and powerful, AND beautiful and feminine,” said Quincy Davis in an official release.

To celebrate the launch, Koio has released a lookbook and video campaign that’s the definition of summer vibes. The black and white film sees Davis hit the waves on an idyllic beach and ends with a birds-eye view of the Statue of Liberty fading into the ocean, perfectly capturing the surfer-meets-street-style DNA of the sneaker.

The partnership follows on from previous collaborations Koio has done with brands that reflect its creative and unexpected style including The Beverley Hills Hotel, Game of Thrones and tattoo artist JonBoy. “Versatility is so much a part of Koio’s identity as a brand, and Quincy’s ability to so easily walk into and exert her influence in different circles from the surfing community to the fashion world, is really the perfect representation of our brand’s DNA,” explained Johannes Quodt, co-founder and co-CEO of Koio.

Style is something Davis’ takes seriously. Just one scroll on her Instagram account and you’ll find brand partnerships with the likes of DKNY and Ugg, and content collaborations with Vogue. In 2010 she released her first clothing capsule in partnership with Volcom, one of her surf sponsors, and it was this opportunity that led her to realize her love for designing.
