HEX Creates Peanuts Capsule For Nordstrom

On February 16, Nordstrom opened a series of pop-ups to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year, but today one of the exclusive collaborations for the retailer officially dropped. Accessories label HEX has teamed up with Peanuts to create a Snoopy-themed collection to coincide with the retailer’s Year of the Dog celebrations.

Available online and in select Nordstrom stores, HEX x Peanuts sees the beloved character printed on a selection of accessories from the LA-based brand. The collection consists of four styles: a backpack, waist pack, dopp kit and iPhone case. And staying true to the label’s ethos, each piece is device-ready, meaning they’ll protect laptops, tablets and phones in style.

The brand is known for its accessories that fuse fashion and technology by providing easy and protective ways to store devices. The four-piece Peanuts collection is made from durable materials such as ballistic nylon with custom lining for the bags, and leather for the cell phone case. Priced between $39.95 and $79.95, the capsule is available for a limited time only.

“When Nordstrom contacted us for this project, we were very excited,” said Dan Maravilla, co-founder of HEX, in a press release. He added, “These kind of limited edition runs are a lot of fun, and what better partners to work with than Peanuts and Nordstrom.”

Peanuts is just the latest in a long line of collaborations for HEX. Previously, the label has paired up with San Francisco-based artist Aaron De La Cruz, sock brand Stance, and Coca-Cola to create small capsule ranges of functional yet fashionable bags and accessories.

Alongside the HEX collaboration, Nordstrom is stocking a selection of exclusive Peanuts pieces as part of its Lunar New Year celebrations. Other exclusive partnerships include Champion, Gitman and Camp Hero, who have created Peanuts-inspired clothing and accessories that are also only available for a limited time.

HEX x Peanuts is on sale now at select Nordstrom stores and online. Pop-In@Nordstrom Celebrates Year of the Dog is open now until March 25, 2018, at South Coast Plaza, The Grove, Michigan Avenue, NorthPark Center, Bellevue Square, Downtown Seattle, CF Toronto Eaton Centre and CF Pacific Centre stores.
