Murrle Bennett & Co was founded in 1884 and produced jewelry until 1914. The company was based in London but manufactured most of their line in Pforzheim, Germany. MB & Co specialized in jewelry with the organic shapes and Celtic motifs that were popular at the time, and famously collaborated with Liberty of London, one of the most celebrated mass producers of Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts styles. This c. 1900 Murrle Bennett piece is made in 9k yellow gold. The pendant has elegant, fluid lines and is set with two luminous white opal cabochons.
