The Deco era saw BIG changes in 20th century women's fashion. The shift was most visible in the higher hemlines, dropped waists, and low-cut dresses worn by flappers, but jewelry design evolved dramatically, too. Shorter, bobbed hairstyles showed off long dangly earrings which echoed the straight shape of the new wardrobe silhouettes. This pair of kinetic torpedo-drop earrings was designed to wear alongside Deco hair and dress. Rondelles of faceted rock crystal bisect the carnelian teardrops, embellishing them with just the right amount of translucent sparkle. Set in 12k gold. Materials: 12k yellow gold, carnelian, and rock crystal. Age: c. 1920. Condition: Excellent. Size: 1.5" long excluding ear wire. Color: orange
