Chimala

New York-based denim brand Chimala was started in 2006 by Japanese designer Noriko Machida. Named after an imaginary mountain in the Himalayas, the brand focuses its collection on vintage casualwear with a touch of the 'gold old days'. Taking references from military workwear, this men's and women's apparel brand focuses on denim with a retro feel, inspired by the Forties to Seventies, given a modern update. Expect luxe basics such as jeans, denim shirts and jackets created by the finest Japanese artisans.
