Mateo

Mateo is a jewelry brand launched in 2009 by Jamaican born Matthew “Mateo” Harris. A self-taught designer, Mateo was inspired by the designer's love of contemporary art, architecture and his adopted city of New York. Beginning with a men's jewelry collection, Matteo combines utilitarian, urban motifs like screws, nails and mechanical wheels, with a wearable everyday nonchalance. In 2014, Matteo introduced women's jewelry to his collection, a line of elegant and refined gold pieces decorated with tiny diamonds and rectangles of onyx, with a minimalist, architectural aesthetic .
