Born in the 1930s, style icon Lillian McKim would go on to found her womenswear label by a pure stroke of luck. A budding entrepreneur, Lilly began selling oranges from a small stand in Palm Beach and later expanded to incorporate printed dresses too. These colorful shifts soon became the unofficial uniform for women in the area, and quickly McKim began opening stores along the sunny East Coast of America. Inspired by the warm climates, her designs were iconically bright and breezy, and still retain the same sense of character today.
