Known as ‘the architect of fashion’ for his beautifully and meticulously structured suits and garments, the late Italian designer Gianfranco Ferré made his name creating collections that were filled with the bold shapes and strong colors that were strongly influenced by his early travels through India and an academic degree in architecture from Milan.
