Bibhu Mohapatra

Bibhu Mohapatra is the self-titled luxury womenswear label launched in 2008 from the Indian-American fashion designer and costume designer. Growing up in the East Coast of India, his appreciation for sumptuous Indian fabrics and vibrant colors is reflected through his collection of luxurious couture evening gowns, cocktail dresses and furs. With design stints at Halston and J. Mendel before launching his own line, Bibhu Mohapatra has been recognised for his ability to create utterly feminine yet empowering pieces through a series of accolades, and has dressed a number of A-listers in his designs including First Lady Michelle Obama.
