Although green, hot pink and neutral are the most popular colors, following a post by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CNLJcW-BoxQ\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Khloe Kardashian<\/a> in April picturing her wearing a purple upside-down bikini, searches for purple bikinis spiked 150% within that week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Terrycloth:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Celebrity-approved, terrycloth swimsuits and bikinis are having a moment, with searches for both styles rising collectively 66% since the start of the month. Frankies Bikinis and Lisa Marie Fernandez have seen the sharpest increase in searches related to the term &#8220;terry&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Conscious swimwear:<\/b>  Shopper are actively searching for eco-friendly swimwear brands, with sustainability-related keywords increasing 101% over the past month. In particular, searches that include the word \u201crecycled\u201d have increased 211% in May so far. Shoppers\u2019 most sought-after brands include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyst.com\/designer\/vitamin-a\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Vitamin A<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyst.com\/designer\/fisch\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fisch<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyst.com\/designer\/mara-hoffman\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mara Hoffman<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><b>Underwire: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Comparing to the same time last year, searches for underwire swimwear increased by 166% throughout the past 3 weeks. While shoppers are still looking more for bikinis (+189%), searches for underwire one-pieces are also rising (+123%). Other minimal swimwear styles that fashion lovers are searching for include: \u2018one-piece\u2019 and \u2018nude\u2019. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyst.com\/designer\/matteau\/?category=beachwear&amp;product_type=Clothing\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Matteau<\/a>, one of Hailey Bieber\u2019s favorite swimwear brands has been trending in the last couple of months. Norma Kamali is another classic swimwear brand with a renewed interest this season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Retro:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Colorful retro prints are set to be one of the biggest swimwear trends of the year. In the last month, searches for retro styles have grown 107% compared with the same time last year. Endorsed by celebrities such as Dua Lipa and Addison Rae, some of the most popular swimwear brands for retro prints are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyst.com\/clothing\/frankies-bikinis-foxy-floral-print-bikini-top\/?reason=search-product&amp;link_id=771606446\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Frankies bikinis<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyst.com\/search\/ category=beachwear&amp;gender=Women&amp;product_type=Clothing&amp;q=dodo+bar+or&amp;term=dodo+bar+or\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dodo Bar Or<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyst.com\/search\/?category=beachwear&amp;gender=Women&amp;product_type=Clothing&amp;q=pucci&amp;term=pucci\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pucci<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyst.com\/search\/?category=beachwear&amp;gender=Women&amp;product_type=Clothing&amp;q=zimmermann&amp;term=zimmermann&amp;page=2\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Zimmermann<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><b>Body jewelry: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Body jewelry, which can be paired with beachwear, is also having a moment. The searches for \u201cbody jewelry\u201d or \u201cbody chains\u201d have increased year-on-year and are currently up 98%. Shopper\u2019s favorite items currently include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyst.com\/jewelry\/alessandra-rich-necklace-pearl-body-chain\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alessandra Rich&#8217;s pearl body chain<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyst.com\/jewelry\/versace-greek-motif-body-chain-w-crystals\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Versace\u2019s Greek motif body chain<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyst.com\/jewelry\/justine-clenquet-ssense-exclusive-silver-gia-body-chain\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Justine Clenquet&#8217;s Gia body chai<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Summer of short shorts<\/b>: Male shoppers are embracing shorter swim shorts. Searches for swim trunks spiked 148% over the past month (compared to the same period last year), whereas page views for casual board shorts grew at a slower pace (+30%). Designer shorts such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyst.com\/clothing\/burberry-check-drawcord-swim-shorts-20\/?reason=search-product&amp;link_id=743323664\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Burberry\u2019s check swim shorts<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyst.com\/clothing\/fendi-black-forever-moisture-reactive-swim-shorts\/?reason=search-product&amp;link_id=715658333\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fendi\u2019s black shorts<\/a> have been driving the most searches. Bold prints are also rising in popularity: searches for tie-dye swim trunks increased 100% in the last month. Meanwhile, demand for swim briefs has been growing fast over the past month with searches spiking 230%.
