Basket bags: As fashion lovers are getting ready for more summer walks, searches for basket bags are thriving on Lyst – they’re up 88% since the start of June. Shoppers are mainly looking for straw basket bags with leather details (+50%). Loewe’s basket tote has been the most wanted straw bag over the past week, whilst other trending brands include Jacquemus, Celine, Prada and Chloe.

Olivia Rodrigo: Following the release of her studio album Sour, Olivia Rodrigo’s Y2K style is making waves amongst her fans. Olivia’s signature pieces such as plaid dresses (+18%), Dr. Martens boots (+12%) and pleated mini skirts (+10%) have all been trending on Lyst over the past month. After she performed on Saturday Night Live in May wearing a tartan corset by Vivienne Westwood, searches for the designer’s plaid corsets spiked 76% in just 48hrs. In a post shared over the weekend, Olivia wore a pair of strappy knee-high boots by Marc Jacobs which sent page views for the designer’s “Kiki” boots jumping 225% in 48hrs.

Crop tops for men: Men’s crop tops are currently having a moment. Compared to last year, searches on Lyst increased 148% in the past 3 weeks, with pieces from Rick Owens, ASOS, GCDS and Champion amongst the most wanted by shoppers. Similarly, searches for cropped sweatshirts and hoodies have increased by 22%.

Fun sunglasses: As searches for sunglasses are continuously growing, fun and unexpected styles are the most popular ones. Demand for square-shaped shades is up 62% month-on-month with searches for Loewe’s Paula Ibiza square acetate sunglasses increasing 31% month-on-month. Tinted sunglasses are also having a moment; searches went up 19% since the start of the month, with pink being the most wanted.

Football shirts: Ahead of the UEFA European Championship, global interest in ‘football’ and ‘soccer’ t-shirts has increased 28% month-on-month with Balenciaga, Nike and Puma amongst the most sought-after brands. Following the announcement of Nike x Martine Rose’s New England shirt, “The Lost Lionesses”, searches for the brand’s football pieces jumped 125% in just one week on Lyst.
