Conscious fashion: On Lyst, searches including sustainability-related keywords have increased 84% since the start of the year. So far in April demand for “vintage”, “second hand” and “pre-owned” pieces specifically has jumped 32% compared to the same time last year. Meanwhile, preloved bags remain the top most wanted category, followed by vintage jewelry. 

Low-rise jeans: Low-rise jeans are making a comeback. Looking at the past month, year-on-year, searches for low-rise jeans are up 57%. The most searched for styles alongside the keyword “low rise” include flared as well as baggy jeans, with the latter having increased 110% year-on-year. The most popular styles include the BDG baggy low-rise wide-leg jeans, Rag & Bone slim boyfriend, and Citizens of Humanity’s racer low rise skinny jeans. 

Cropped and capri trousers: Spotted on Hailey Bieber in an Instagram post uploaded by her stylist, capri pants are having a moment. Searches for capris have increased by 85% over the past 2 weeks, with leggings and jeans being the most sought-after styles. Furthermore, demand for cropped trousers and jeans has also increased 22% in the past 4 weeks. 

Summer party dress: Since the start of April, demand for party dresses grew 38% with “mini” and “cut-out” amongst the most popular styles. Searches for the category including the term “summer” increased 26% over the past month, whilst page views for 70s-inspired mini crochet dresses are up 21% month-on-month. Trending brands include Nensi Dojaka and 16Arlington.

Spring tailoring: As lockdown restrictions ease, relaxed tailoring is quickly rising in demand. Searches for suits in linen, twill, and cotton have collectively grown 88% since the start of the year, with Ermenegildo Zegna, Canali, and Brunello Cucinelli among the most searched brands for these styles. White and natural tones are the most in demand colors after classic tones, equally popular among men and women shoppers. Pink is also proving quite popular, with searches increasing 63% month-on-month. Following Beyoncé’s recent Instagram post wearing a white Area suit, searches for “white suits” for women jumped 102% on Lyst week-on-week, while demand for the brand grew 44%.
