Chucks and pearls: Ahead of Inauguration Day, shoppers have been searching for chucks and pearls. This week, searches for Converse’s Chuck Taylors spiked 233%.

Inauguration Eve: Following Kamala Harris and Jill Biden public appearance on Inauguration Eve, we saw a significant increase in demand for pieces inspired by their outfits. In less than 24hrs, searches for “Pyer Moss coat” spiked 734% while page views for the brand alone increased 127%. At the same time, demand for the color purple jumped 655% with coats being the most sought after item. Ahead of the Inauguration day today, shoppers are looking for pearl jewelry; searches for pearl necklaces, earrings and bracelets are up collectively 189% week-on-week.

SKIMS hosiery: In less than a week, all the pieces of the newly launched SKIMS hosiery range are sold out. On Lyst, demand for the brand has jumped 56% week-on-week whilst searches including the terms “sculpting” and “sheer” are up collectively 303%.

Early Valentine’s: Whilst still on lockdown, shoppers are getting cozy and ready for Valentine’s Day earlier this year: searches for lingerie are up 46% month-on-month. Compared to the same time last year, page views for the category are up 23%. Trending terms include, “lace sets” and “colorful lace bras” with searches for the latter rising 45% month-on-month. Savage x Fenty is currently the most wanted brand.

Shrugs: Boleros and shrugs are slowly becoming a major trend for 2021. Over the past month, searches including the term “shrug” went up 27% whilst page views for cropped cardigans increased 14%. Most wanted brands for shrugs include Peter Do, and Alice & Olivia.
